There are many more patients who need in-house mental health services in Washington state and there are beds, that’s caused a number of private psychiatric hospitals to pop up. One of them is Cascade behavioral health in Tukwila. 75% of nurses are on strike there because they say management does not take safety seriously enough Mendor Miskin Sr is one of those nurses he says a few months back, there was an incident when trying to restrain a patient and at least one worker was seriously injured. That was the last straw for him. “We’re ready when safeties are granted – our safeties. I should be ready to go and to help patients, provided that there is a safe environment nurses at the hospital say want management to hire security and to adjust the patients.
