Kaiser Permanente management is trying to negotiate lower standards and takeaways. Now we know staffing has been an issue for nurses and hospitals throughout the northwest. Last week, frontline health workers at cascade behavioral health in Tukwila will be picking it as well, saying profits are being put above the safety and welfare of employees. They are demanding better security to combat workplace violence. They also want an increase in nurses hired to offset understaffing as well. And that’s the keyword here is staffing nurses say they continue not to have enough folks in the hospital, and they say they want a better deal to attract more qualified workers as well.
